About

Namaste,

I’m Tito, a backpacker who decided to make his own bags, following the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi.
When I was young, I always used to repair or recycle my schoolbag when it was broken. Especially one bag that I’d won and I believed brought me luck. But one day my mother threw it away because that bag was too old, and I got traumatised! So when a few years later, I had another broken bag that I could impossibly repair, I decided to make my own bag. I didn’t want to spend money on capitalist shit I would break anyway with my rough lifestyle! I bought the strongest fabric I could find, a sail canvas. And I’ve been sewing with a needle during two months before I’d made my first bag! Off course I’ve bought a sewing machine since. But that’s how I started making personalized bags.
Then I started dreaming, imagine all the freedom you have with a bag, you can carry all you need to go wherever you want, just like Jack Kerouak! And I became a backpacker, who needed technical backpacks, ’cause my old army bag was the strongest but the worst for hiking. So I started making strong and comfortable bags. I first made bad bags that gave me strong shoulders, and learned a lot with each one to improve and finally make real bags.
When I decided that I needed a real job, I wanted to make bags and went to meet an old curtain maker in Rome and an old sailor who makes sails in Amsterdam and showed them my bags asking for sewing lessons. They told me witch materials to use, that’s why I use the strongest and most waterproof fabrics.
Getting older, I started appreciating minimalism and so I began making, instead of sport bags, bags that make you feel as a samurai when using it, relaxing but sturdy!
I’ve tried everything and can make the most comfortable backpacks, with a versatile and timeless design. I make all my bags with love and the same patience that you need to do trekking, whitch is very important for me. Nowadays, we’re rushing all the time and getting crazy instead of appreciating each moment and understanding where our happiness comes from, inner peace and an adventurous spirit.

Tito
